Day out in Norfolk

Last sunday had a nice day out in Norfolk started out at Winterton Dunes on the east coast ona sunny morning, quite quiet but did manage to find a nice Willlow Warbler in the local tit flock, a brief view of a Wheatear and had a Yellow Wagtail fly over.

Next stop was a visit to Wells Wood and a new bird for mewith an Olive-backed Pipit showing well in the woods though at times seemed to vanish right in front of my eyes as it was feeding in the leaf litter. Nice to see a lovely pair of feisty Redstarts feeding nearby as well.

From the hides a nice selctions of Waders and Ducks with good numbers of Curlew Sandpipers feeding in with the Dunlins, Ringed Plovers and the odd Little Stint. Further out where Redshanks, Godwits, Curlews, Ruffs and as it got darker Oystercatchers and Grey Plover came to Roost.
