Butterflies at Ferymn Woods

A couple of weekend ago headed down to Ferymn Woods on a nice sunny morning quite a few butterflies around in the first wood a few Silver- Washed Fritillaries around and showing quite nicely and with Gatekeepers and Green-veined Whites in big number with a few Skippers around.

Then walked through to the second world where I saw a few Purple Emperor including one going for a Spotted Flycatcher and a few Purple Hairstreaks and nice numbers of Silver- Washed Fritillaries but no sign of any White Admirals but a nice family group of Marsh Tits made up for that. On the way back a Meadow Brown was showing well.
